Before we go any further with this story, let's take a look a couple of ideas Grant has about the end result.
Here's a VERY rough sketch of what Grant is building. Model "B" Ford engine, 1935 Ford wire wheels, steel reproduction of a 1931 open cab pickup body (by Brookville) and possibly a 1927 "T" turtle deck. Springs with reversed eyes (by Posie's.) High speed rear end (3.53:1), gears by Mac's Antique Auto Parts.
Grant saw this Ford Speedster at the 2000 MAFCA Meet near Kansas City. The headlights on Grant's 1931 hot rod will be mounted like this.
