Saturday. Moved some stuff around. Found a transom in the wood pile. It will need some cleaning. Then I mixed up my third small batch of System Three and taped the second butt joint. I'm feeling very comfortable with this stuff now. Built another "oven" to cure the third batch.
Also went to Harbor Freight and bought a cheap air-powered staple gun. I have an idea for putting the boat together temporarily with small blocks of soft wood and staples.
Stay tuned for updates on that.
Sunday -- Rick Willoughby (at boatdesign.net) is guessing the beam should be 30 inches. I've mocked it up that way, and tried to get a "feel" for that width.
I'm thinkin' 30 inches is too wide. I'm also thinking of tacking the "half boat" together and wrapping it in sheet plastic for a stability/bouyency test floating.
