As with many of the trailers, the tongue apparently parted company with the trailer some time in the past and the owner does not know the serial number. From the pictures which show several "late style" windows, it was probably made in 1936 towards the end of production.
The Bowlus Road Chief is an unrestored original featuring a "mid kitchen."
The trailer spent most of its life in California near where it was built. About 7 years ago it was taken to Colorado where it sat until the present owner bought it in 1999 and towed it back home 40 miles from where it was built.
