Note to self: Keel is 11'-2"
4/21/11 -- Moved the boat outside to sand the outside of the hull, and run a 3/8 inch roundover router bit around the perimeter of the bottom and around the transom sides and bottom. (Moved SOUPER outside, too -- making it a lot easier to move the boat outside for dusty activities.)
Then moved the boat back inside and 'glassed the transom with the 3.25 oz. cloth left over from the green boat. Used about 3 oz. of unthickened epoxy. It was 62 degess in the shop. Hope the epoxy is still "green" for trimming tomorrow.
Received a shipment from Jamestown Distributors today -- System Three epoxy and "Cab-O-Sil."

Tried to follow Dynamite's advice for covering the transom. Should make sheating the bottom easier, but I still must "ease" the bottom/side joint.

4/22/11 -- Late start today. The "green" epoxy on the transom top was easy to trim. Temperature in shop was still 62. Warmer outside.

Drew lines 1-1/2 inches bothe sides of chine joint. Tried to follow Dynamites instruction for filleting the chines. Next photo shows preparation, followed by two showing completed fillets, taping and another coat of unthickened epoxy. Figure I have about 1/6 of the chine taped. Not very pleased with results.

The boat will stay here as I fillet the rest of the chine.
