4/3/11 --
Since discovering that I'm building the boat BACKWARDS(!), and have so much plywood cut, and so much of the boat stuck togeter with epoxy, I've decided to continue by simply scribing and cutting new gunwales. I'll probably need to alter the boat's keel design to "keep it on track" when rowing.
The two photos above show a (synthetic wood) batten clamped in place, providing a line to cut for the new shape. The photos below shows the boat's new shape. The frame has been trimmed, as has the stem piece. The batten has been clapmed in place, showing where the rails will be located. The screws and fender washer have been removed; the epoxy cured.
4/8/11 -- Had no problem flipping the boat over. It weighs only 25 pounds as of today. I did not have camera with me, so no photos today.
