The "sea water" water pump picks up water from the bottom of the boat, and pumps it to supply the engine's pump with cooling water, and supplies water to the two large water cooled exhaust mainifolds.
The pump is belt driven, and located at the front, and on the starboard side of the engine. It's a product of MercCruiser and employs a flexible impeller to move water through the pump.
