1981 18' Century Resorter Paint the hull
"It needs a little work, but what boat doesn't?    
Throughout this website, a click on a photo will probably yield a larger image. (4/13/12) There were about ten votes in favor of blue, none for mahogany. But the guy with the checkbook wanted mahogany, so guess what color it's been painted?
The original waterline was difficult to remove. "It came off in pieces no longer than 6 inches." Then the surface was filled and sanded, primed and sanded again. The finish coat was applied in four coats. The paint is a single stage urethane by Martin Senour, sold with a NAPA label.
Seven holes in the transom were filled (bye-bye speedo) and the screw hole locations for the cover snaps were retained.
