1981 18' Century Resorter Deck, etc., page 2 Clicking on an image will display a larger one. 3/9/12 -- The vinyl covered aft panel has been removed and I have enough 1/4 inch marine ply to make new replacement panels for the forward and aft decks. Today I'm thinking we'll cover the panels with vinyl -- without "wrapping" it.
Above, the old filler cap. Below, the new Perko unit:
The gas tank is not original to the boat, and its filler tube did not align perfectly with the (also non-original) filler cap. (I'd like to check gas level with a dip stick.) So, in building the new aft panel, I'm cutting out a portion of the 'glassed plywood deck, permitting me to align a new "GAS" filler cap over the tank's tube. I'll attach some plywood to the bottom of the ply, filling my cut-out. 3/10/12 -- Decided today to offset flag socket. Looked just too crowded "in line." 4/3/12 -- That pole sure is ugly. Gotta figure out how to make one better looking.
