Yes, they are air horns -- by Sparton. Kinda wimpy sounding 'cause the air is supplied "on demand" by a 12v air pump. I'm wondering what they'd sound like if we installed a tank and compressor, with air controlled by a solenoid-operated valve.

Seen on 'web: This listing is for a brand new 12 volt air compressor for on board vehicle air horns. This compressor has a .79 gallon tank and pumps up to 120 psi and when the pressure drops it starts back up at 90 psi. It runs on a 12 volt DC power source and pumps about 1 cfm @ 40 psi. This is a great & quiet compressor that can be mounted almost anywhere and at any angle in a vehicle. It is also equipped with a safety feature if the compressor goes over 176 degrees F it will automatically shut off and will start back up when it gets back down to 158 degrees F. This compressor comes with four vibration pads to install under each leg when mounted, a 30 amp fuse, a petcock style tank moisture drain, and a 5 Ft 3/8" air hose for hook-up to be used with the push lock fitting on the side of the tank. If you have a different hose for installation you can unscrew the 3/8" push lock fitting and use the 1/4" female npt port. Tank drain does not come installed, vibration pads must be used to provide clearance below the tank for drain to be installed. This compressor has a 90 day warranty against factory defects. Dimensions: (8" tall x 15.5" long x 6" wide)

The boat needs a (MacLaren) burgee standard, and a place to mount it on the foredeck. It's on order from jmsonline.net as of 5/11/14:

Recently (as of 5/1/14) discovered that the "trumpets" unscrew from the horn diaphragms. These two photos were made after some chrome polish was used:
