1972 Correct Craft Skier

MacSkier

(Saturday) -- Measured twice and cut into floor for "rough" location of engine. The actual "engine hole" will be a bit larger than pictured, but not as wide as indicated by DPO's carpeted panels. (About where black lines have been drawn.)

Using old carpeted plywood pieces for guides and templates of a sort, located cut-out for new battery location, and center for 1-3/4" hole for tow pylon. The battery will fit entirely under floor -- about where CC located the ice chest.

In 2003 (it seems), DPO used crappy plywood (roof sheathing) for his carpeted floor panels. New gray carpet will be glued directly to floor and up hull sides -- like we did in "Meanwhile." Cost = about $1/sq. ft.

The "trough" for control cables will have all its edges finished/epoxied. (That red dot shows where cables enter floor -- after I get up enough nerve to cut the slot without putting a hole in the hull.)

I'm still not a painter, but really like the idea of having a white V-8 powering the boat.
