A chicken coop for Heather's chickens in Lawrence, KS, continued . . .
Heather is coming next week to pick up her coop. (These photos were made July 20.)
The nesting box attaches to the coop using two thumbscrews. It sits on a ledge that positions the nesting box against the coop.
The white frame in the foregound will be the door providing access to the portable fenced-in area. It will be painted green, like the coop's exterior. See the last photo below for a view of the door's location.
The feed trough looks a lot like a piece of rain gutter.
Look carefully for the rope and pulley that operates the ramp to be closed at night, protecting the ladies from critters.
